Charade - a Poem
Charade - a Poem
By Mahbubul Karim (Sohel)

Don’t tell lies in
verse
Or ruminate the joys
Of birds, flapping
wings
Expanded over dawn
And sheer non sense
Can you count the
stars
In a night of
phosphorous sky?
Can you look at
photos
Of agonies and cries
Over mangled bodies
Of babies wrapped
In eradicated flags?
You may choose to avert
Eyes and ears
Precious time of
yours
Twaddle into the
realm of
Fictitious equivalence
While the loopy siren
Screams the tune
Of a distorted farce
