Gausul Azam Baba - Recently I've listened to this song which is a form of spiritual song known as "Maij Vandari", that I rendered in my keyboard. I remember listening to this type of song in my childhood and if I am not mistaken Maij Vandari songs are from the hilly place of Chittagong, a natural beauty of our world containing large leafy mountains and also is closed to one of the longest continuous sea shores with the sandy beach and the bluest crushing waves.

The more I delve into Nazrul's music, his sheer brilliance as a music composer and lyricist becomes clearer. Wishing the joy and happiness throughout your life.  Instrumental music I played in my oldie keyboard "Ramjaner Oi Rojar Sheshe Elo Khusir Eid" - a song composed by the Bengali rebel poet Kazi Nazrul Islam close to a century ago. He lived from 1899 to 1976. Nazrul's music, poem and writings reverberate the themes of humanity, freedom and love. He wrote against fascism and oppression during its frenzied climb, and was always against any kinds of bigotry and intolerance, he was for the emancipation of forgotten and poverty stricken mass. This particular song is very popular in the Bengali speaking world, many prominent singers performed this many times. This is an instrumental music of a song composed by Fakir Lalon Shah who lived from 1774 to 1890. He was born in Kushtia, now in Bangladesh, and my father lyricist Masud Karim who was born in the same district, amongst many other poets and writers, was greatly inspired by him from his childhood. Lalon was a Bengali saint, poet, mystic, social reformer, thinker and music composer. He was also known as Mahatma Lalon Fakir and Lalon Sain. He is still praised for his universal messages of tolerance and spirituality. Many past and contemporary poets, writers, music composers, singers, thinkers and the ordinary folks like me were and are continuously inspired by his transcendental songs and poems. In modern time, Bangladeshi legendary singer Farida Parveen sang this immortal song.
